Japan's Samurai Japan U-15 National Team wins its first WBC title “The 6th WBSC U-15 World Cup”, defeating Puerto Rico 7-6 in the final.
The Samurai Japan U-15 National Team won the 6th WBSC U-15 World Cup for the first time. Under the guidance of coach Hirokazu Ibata, the team defeated Puerto Rico 7-6 in the final to take the championship after a hard-fought battle. In particular, Soya Kokubo's good return of a pitch and Souora Nakajima's touchout in the 6th inning contributed to the victory. This is the first time for a team to win all the games in the opening round and advance to the finals held overseas.
